EMR Kit for lower GI Product BrochureMore details
Endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) is a technique for minimally invasive mucosectomy in the gastrointestinal tract. It enables the rapid and safe removal of suspect lesions. In the upper GI tract EMR is usually performed with a transparent plastic cap (EMRC), while special anti-slip snares may be used to remove the lesions in the lower GI tract.
In the lower GI tract specially braided, hard anti-slip snares allow a firm grip on flat lesions during the EMR procedure:
Olympus supplies all the equipment necessary for EMR and EMRC: Distal attachments in various forms, snares, needles, spray catheters and retrieval forceps. Olympus’ pre-packed EMR kits contain spray catheter, injection needle, distal attachment and crescent snare for the upper GI tract and for the lower GI tract: spray catheter, injection needle and innovative twisted electrosurgical snare – all sterile packed and ready for use.
